The Best time to visit Ladakh is during the summer season from the month of April to July during this time Ladakh temperature is between 15 to 30 Degree Celsius. Ladakh is known for its extremely low temperatures almost all through the year.
We visited Leh Ladakh during May, 2024.

We arrived at Leh Airport as per their scheduled flight. Upon arrival, we proceed to the hotel. Our stay was arranged for two days at Hotel Grand Willow Leh. Today we have free time for acclimatization. In the evening we enjoy a short Meet & Greet session.
Day 2 / 06 May, Leh
On 2nd day of the Tour, we visited Shey Palace – used to be the summer retreat of the royal family of Ladakh, Rancho School - also known as Druk White Lotus school, Hemis Gompa – a Himalayan Buddhist monastery which is believed to be the wealthiest and the biggest monastery in Leh followed by a Photo stop at Thiksey monastery. Further we witnessed a Sindhu Darshan - one of the longest rivers in Asia. Hall of Fame War Museum – a museum constructed by the Indian Army in memory of the brave Indian soldiers who laid down their lives defending the motherland in the Indo-Pak wars. Later we have free time for shopping.

Day 3 / 07 May, Leh – Khardung La Pass – Nubra Valley (2 Nights)
On 3rd day of the Tour, we proceed to Nubra Valley via Khardung La – one of the world’s highest motorable pass. Nubra valley - the Shyok River meets the Siachen River to form this large valley separating the Ladakh and Karakoram ranges. Upon arrival we visit Maitreya Buddha – Perched on top of a monastery, it is the statue of Jampa Buddha, noted for its intricate carvings, brilliant craftsmanship and vivid colours. Later we visit Hunder Village and Cold desert - the only place in India where twin humped camels are found. Please note: Khardung La is situated at a high altitude, which may pose challenges for guests with certain health conditions. If you have pre-existing health issues, we strongly recommend consulting with your doctor before planning your visit to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience. . The elevation of Khardung La is 5,359 m (17,582 ft). Local summit signs and dozens of stores selling shirts in Leh incorrectly claim its elevation to be in the vicinity of 5,602 m (18,379 ft)

Day 5 / 09 May, Nubra Valley – Pangong Tso (1 Night)
On 5th day of the Tour, we travelled to Pangong Tso of Nubra Valley, also known as Pangong Lake - one of the world's highest saltwater lakes. The most notable feature of this lake are its ever-changing hues. The lake acts as an important breeding ground for a large variety of migratory birds like Brahmani Ducks, Rare black necked cranes and Seagulls. It is located at a height of 14270 feet above sea level on the Indo-China border, Pangong Tso is one of the world's highest brackish water lakes.

On 7th day of the Tour, we travelled to Kargil via Fotu La Pass and Namki La pass. Kargil is known as the location of the Indo-Pakistani border war of 1999 En route we visit Patthar Sahib Gurudwara - a beautiful Gurudwara sahib constructed in the memory of Guru Nanak, Magnetic Hill – also known as Gravity Hill where vehicles defy the force of gravity, Sangam of the rivers Indus & Zanskar - two of Himalaya's great rivers; Zanskar and Indus merge to form a spectacular view, Shanti Stupa – built by the Japanese monks to promote world peace, Alchi Gompa - known for its magnificent and well preserved 11th & 12th century wall paintings, Moon land - the land resembles that of moon, Lamayuru Monastery - one of the largest and oldest gompas in Ladakh. In the evening we arrived at Kargil

Day 8 / 12 May, Kargil – Drass – Leh (1 Night)
On 8th day of the Tour, we proceed to Drass, here we visit Drass War Memorial, also known as Vijay Memorial – built in the memory of the martyr soldiers of the 1999 Kargil War. Then we visit Mulbekh Monastery. In the evening we arrive at Leh.

*Acclimatize Properly – Spend 1-2 days in Leh before heading to higher altitudes.
*Pack Warm Clothes – Even in summer, nights can be chilly.
*Stay Hydrated – Combat dryness and altitude sickness with plenty of water.
*Carry Cash – ATMs are limited; keep enough cash for remote areas.
*Permits Required – Indian tourists need Inner Line Permits (ILP) for Nubra, Pangong, etc.
