The ideal time to visit
Mahabaleshwar is in the months of December to February which is the winter
season. The temperature varies from 10 to 25 degrees and is the best time for
enjoying mountain trekking, scenic beauty and amazing indoor and outdoor activities.
During the monsoon (July – September) Mahabaleshwar experiences heavy rainfall
and hence is not suitable for outdoor activities even though the view is very
scenic. In summer months (March-June), the town gets warm and it is a good time
for outdoor adventures.

By Air :
Mahabaleshwar does not have an airport of its own. The nearest airport is Pune
which is 120 kilometers away from the city. A taxi or a bus from the airport
can help to reach Mahabaleshwar.
By Train :The nearest and most accessible rail head near Mahabaleshwar is Pune. Once can hire a taxi or bus from the station in order to reach Mahabaleshwar.
By Bus : There are several buses plying from Mumbai and Pune which will take you to Mahabaleshwar. The journey is of about 6 hours from Mumbai.
